Solid Design 310: Basic Solid Design

[8 Hours]

8:00 to 5:00 (30 minutes allowed for setup)

Who should attend: Advanced Solid Design users

Purpose: Provide the student with a working knowledge of how to create and maintain their own catalog.

Curriculum: Solid Design 310 instructs the Solid Design user on the creation and manipulation of modular catalogs. The user will learn how to build and save cabinets within the library with pricing, options, and accessories assigned to that specific unit. They will also learn the suggested menu structure for Solid Design catalogs.

After Completing Solid Design 310: The successful student will have a working knowledge of how catalogs are created and maintained within Solid Design.

Class Requirements: The following are necessary for maximum benefit to the student:

1. Solid Design 110 and 210 are prerequisites for this course..
2. A computer, Pentium 200 or greater, CD-ROM drive, (preferably a laptop). Must be in working order, and setup PRIOR to the beginning of the class. Setup and security are the student’s responsibility.
3. Basic familiarity with Microsoft Windows 95 or 98 (NT is not supported). A one-day course available through most computer retailers is recommended if you are not familiar with Windows.
4. A security key is required for Solid Design 310.
5. The instructor will use the most current build of Solid Design for the class. Contact the training department for details on the build, or to order this build if you do not have it.
