[8 Hours]
8:00 to 5:00 (30 minutes allowed
for setup)
| Who should attend: Users of Solid, Solid Manufacturing and Solid Professional. (Solid Design users will benefit more from the Design classes.) | ||
| Purpose: Provide the student with a clear understanding of advanced cabinet editing and rendering features, Wood Wizard and other Solid tools. This course conforms to shops that build more custom items, such as furniture, bars, teller lines, etc. (Note, features vary between programs. If you are unsure of the features you have, contact Cabinet Vision.) | ||
| Curriculum: SOLID 202 continues the editing principles of SOLID 201 with a review of complex editing in the orthographic views. Students will learn to write User Created Standards to customize the program to their specific needs (Preliminary UCS and Intelli-joints are a prerequisite to the CNC portions covered in SOLID 301.) The student will learn to create "smart parts," effectively use the Library functions, and increase the overall productivity of their shops. Our 32-bit rendering package (PhotoVision) will be demonstrated during the last 30 minutes of instruction. | ||
| After Completing Solid Design 202: The successful student will be able to employ the knowledge he has acquired to create complex objects with multiple additional parts. He/she will be able to add or subtract parts on a conditional basis (allows events, such as size, to trigger whether a part is used or modified). The knowledge prepares the user for understanding and setting up his CNC operation. If the user has PhotoVision, he/she will be able to produce photo realistic renderings for client presentation. | ||
